Seek and you shall find - using Search in the Community
One of the top benefits of the Community is all the peer knowledge available for you to review and search over time. See helpful screen shots below.
- To Search for content (discussion threads, shared files, white papers, virtual roundtables) use the Search box in the upper right hand corner of every page. NOTE: To get results from all Communities you belong to, ensure you search from the main Councils Community home page at https://councilscommunity.cuna.org
- The screen shots below show you how to find and use the Search feature. To search for people, please use the Directory.
- Note your results will change based on where you are in the site. The Councils Community has multiple areas. To find results from ALL Communities you belong to, ensure you are on the main Councils Community website when you perform your Search. If you want to limit results to one Council discussion, you can do that with the filters, or you may search from the various Communities' home pages.
You can search on a single keyword, or a multi-word phrase, but be aware that the logic treats it as an either/or search. For example, if you type in core conversion, it will return results for both core OR conversion. To limit it to what you want, use "core conversion" instead.
Results are sorted by Relevance not Date. This can really impact what you see. The system chooses what it feels is most relevant, based on keywords, and shows you that first. This means the content may look old. If you are searching for recent content, use the drop down menu above and to the right of your results to sort the list differently.
Use the Filters to refine results. On the left side of your search results will be a number of options to limit what you see by type, community, or poster.
